Sorry for the little break in posts, but with school starting back up and last minute mandatory meetings at work I got behind a bit on this blog. This doesn't mean that I haven't been working on things during this time, quite the contrary, with me starting in on a commission.  Here is the mini bead haul for it.

This necklace is quite easy, yet very time consuming.  Here is a finished version I made last year and entered into the Del Mar Fair.

This one my mom fell in love with and wears whenever she gets the chance, which is why one of her coworkers commissioned me to make one for his wife for valentine's day. Tomorrow I will post a little tutorial on how to do the right angle weave stitch, also known as the RAW stitch, and how to add assorted beads to the piece.

Today it was a nice rainy day here in California, and I was lucky enough to have today off from work as well. So naturally I stayed home and worked on some more wire pendants. The main one today was this tree of life pendant for my mom. She has been seeing lots of people wearing them and wanted one for herself so I made her this copper and turquoise pendant.

I also made this little test pendant, I really like how it turned out, and I was able to learn a lot about how I would do it differently and how to improve it while I was working on it, I may make a tutorial for it later this week.

In other news, I just bought some more wire, this time 26 gauge, which will be perfect for more intricate designs. Currently I just have been using 16 gauge and 22 gauge, so a third size will be fun to mess around with.

I have always liked doing all types of crafts, and a new one for me is wire jewelry. I have been playing around with the different wires and have been very pleased with the results so far. One of these pieces is Copper and Turquoise Oval Pendant. Copper and Turquoise Oval Pendant
This swirly little pendant was really fun to make and looks great too. You can buy it now on my Etsy shop RedRabbitBeading.

Hello everyone, my name is Redd and I enjoy beading and jewelry work, as well as cooking and baking. This blog will have different projects I am working on as well as items for sale on my shop and tutorials on how to do some of the projects yourself. I will also post where I get materials for the projects as I know researching prices can be tedious and boring, and many products can be expensive if you don't shop around. I will do my best to post new designs and items regularly.
